Steam Generation Chemicals

BoilerTreat 2310 Liquid

BoilerTreat 2310 Liquid Condensate Corrosion Inhibition

Product Benefits

- Effective against carbonic acid corrosion

- Extends the lifetime of system components

- Ensures both boiler cleanliness and boiler reliability

- FDA & USDA Approved

Principal Uses

BoilerTreat 2310 is a corrosion inhibitor that contains a blend of low, medium

and high volatility amines designed for use in steam and condensate

systems. BoilerTreat 2310 provides effective neutralization of acidic gases,

such as carbon dioxide (CO2), throughout the condensate system. It may be

used at temperatures up to 850 Deg. F (454 Deg. C). BoilerTreat 2310

effectively reduces condensate system maintenance costs and minimizes the

potential of boiler tube failures caused by metallic corrosion products in the

returned condensate.

General Description

BoilerTreat 2310 is a liquid blend of volatile neutralizing amines, that is,

cyclohexylamine, diethylaminoethanol and morpholine. BoilerTreat 2310 is in

compliance with FDA and USDA regulations pertaining to boiler water additives.

Application Technology

BoilerTreat 2310 should be neat and continuously directly from the container

to the common steam header via a quill injector or to the suction side of the

boiler feedwater pump via a quill injector where it will be uniformly mixed and

thoroughly distributed throughout the boiler system to ensure optimum product activity.

NOTE: BoilerTreat 2310 does not protect against oxygen induced corrosion!

TEJAS Filming Amine Technologies should be used when dissolved oxygen

exceeds 0.05 PPM and/or used in high alkalinity feedwater systems where

CO2 generation is in excess of 15 PPM and/or used in make-up waters

greater than 30% of the boiler feedwater!

The specific dosage of BoilerTreat 2310 will vary depending on the severity

of the condensate environment. Underfeed of BoilerTreat 2310 will result in

a low pH in the condensate system; thereby, resulting in the corrosion of

plant and condensate equipment. These corrosion products will increase the

amount of iron and/or copper returned to the boilers which can form deposits

in high heat flux areas of the boiler leading to higher maintenance costs and

potential tube failure. Overfeed of BoilerTreat 2310 will result in both high pH

in the condensate system and excessive treatment costs. In the presence of

oxygen, this will result in increased copper corrosion, too. Your TEJAS

Representative can recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure

maximum program performance for your system. For specific feeding and

material compatibility instructions, consult your TEJAS Representative.

Cooling Water Chemicals

TowerTreat 3200 Liquid

Polymeric dispersant

Product Benefits

- General dispersancy

- Zinc, phosphate and calcium carbonate stabilization

- Yellow metal corrosion inhibition

- Extends the lifetime of system components

Principal Uses

TowerTreat 3200 is a polymeric dispersant designed to control zinc

phosphate, zinc hydroxide, calcium phosphate and calcium carbonate

deposition with additional yellow metal corrosion protection in open

recirculating cooling water systems.

General Description

TowerTreat 3200 is a liquid blend of dispersants for deposit control and a

copper corrosion inhibitor for yellow metal protection.

Application Technology

TowerTreat 3200 should be fed neat and continuously directly from the

container to the cooling tower basin and/or to the suction side of the

cooling water recirculating pumps where it will be uniformly mixed and

thoroughly distributed throughout the cooling water system to ensure

optimum product activity. Any interruption in feed will result in scale,

corrosion and deposition throughout the cooling water system and

possible equipment failure.

NOTE: The “Slug Feed” of TowerTreat 3200 is not acceptable! Also,

TowerTreat 3200 should be fed upstream of the second product feed

point in the area near the cooling tower pump sump!

The specific dosage of TowerTreat 3200 will vary depending upon

the operating characteristics of your system, the water chemistry

and the severity of the problems encountered. Also, the dosage may vary

according to the amount of scale control and/or deposit control required.

Normal dosage ranges between 30 – 60 PPM (as product) when used as

a general dispersant; however, the dosage will increase in waters with

high suspended solids and/or calcium hardness levels. Your TEJAS

Representative can recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure

maximum program performance for your system. For specific feeding and

material compatibility instructions, consult your TEJAS Representative.

Handling & Storage

Read the Container Label and Material Safety Data Sheet before using

this product. Recommended in-plant storage limit is two (2) years.

Containers & Shipping

TowerTreat 3200 is available in Bulk and/or Non-Returnable 275-USG

KoolTreat 3100-PLUS Liquid

KoolTreat 3100-PLUS Liquid Scale, corrosion, fouling and deposit control Inhibitors

Product Benefits

- Multifunctional product formulation

- Helps prolong equipment life, reduce maintenance and replacement costs

- Helps maintain efficient heat transfer

- Compatible with ethylene glycol and/or alcohol-based antifreezes

- Temperature stable up to 200 Deg. F

Principal Uses

KoolTreat 3100-PLUS is a multifunctional cooling water treatment

minimizing the number of chemicals being fed. It is designed to

provide scale, corrosion, deposit and fouling control in both hot and cold

closed recirculating cooling water systems. This product is designed for

systems that are naturally corrosive, that is, low hardness and/or low

alkalinity systems...and, effective over a broad range of application

parameters.

General Description

KoolTreat 3100-PLUS is a liquid product containing a combination of ferrous

and non-ferrous corrosion inhibitors, a non-carbonate buffer, scale inhibitors,

dispersants and a leak detection dye in a convenient-to-handle single drum

treatment formulation.

Application Technology

KoolTreat 3100-PLUS should be slug fed neat and directly from

the container via a closed feed system (By-Pass Feeder or Pot Feeder)

where it will be uniformly mixed and thoroughly distributed throughout the

cooling water system to ensure optimum activity. NOTE: A closed feed

system is defined as a system in which fluid is moved from a closed

storage vessel into a treated media without exposure to the

atmosphere except through normal venting or pressure relief devices.

Any interruption in feed will result in scale, corrosion, deposit and fouling

formation throughout the cooling water system and possible equipment

failure.

The specific dosage of KoolTreat 3100-PLUS will vary depending upon the

operating characteristics of your system, the water chemistry and the

severity of problems encountered. Also, the dosage may vary according to

the amount of scale control and/or dispersant action required. Normal

dosage ranges between 600 – 750 PPM (as product), or 2.0 – 4.0 Oz/USG.

Where bacteria control is needed, TEJAS BioTreat 3600 Liquid ,

Microbiocide, should be supplemented to ensure microbiological growth

control. For specific feeding and material compatibility instructions, consult

your TEJAS Representative.

Handling & Storage

Read the Container Label and Material Safety Data Sheet before using this

product. The recommended in-plant storage limit is two (2) years.
